You'll perform general building repairs and preventative maintenance while helping ensure our facilities and equipment remain safe and in good working condition."},{"insert":"\n\n"},{"insert":"\nYour day may include painting, pressure washing, grounds maintenance, and completing minor plumbing, electrical, irrigation, or carpentry repairs. You'll regularly inspect the facility and equipment to identify maintenance or safety concerns, complete monthly safety inspections and checklists, and keep maintenance tools, supplies, and work areas organized."},{"insert":"\n\n"},{"insert":"\nYou'll also assist with maintenance projects and communicate needs and progress with branch leadership. Building positive relationships is an important part of this role, as you'll work with YMCA staff, volunteers, contractors, vendors, members, and guests. You should enjoy troubleshooting problems, working with your hands, and figuring out practical solutions when something needs attention."},{"insert":"\n\n"},{"insert":"\nStrong communication and customer service skills are also important. Experience with common hand and power tools and knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, painting, and general building maintenance are preferred."},{"insert":"\n\n"},{"insert":"\nA high school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is also preferred; training may be provided if needed.
